10am – 5:30pm – Wednesday, February 3, 2010

Knights of Columbus Hall in Petoskey

We need your help!!

Last year Project Connect served 727 people, providing access to the resources they needed.

Food and personal care bags were among the most requested services of Project Connect attendees. Unfortunately, 420 bags of food and
300 personal care bags was not enough to meet the need. This year we expect the need to be even greater and have set a goal for 600 bags of food and 400 personal care bags.

What can you do?

We hope that you will consider hosting a food or personal care item drive with your students, family, friends or co-workers. This is a great
way to volunteer and assist those in need. We can suggest specific items that would be very helpful. You can make this a contest, an
alternative to holiday gifts, or a service-learning project. The opportunities are endless and we encourage you to be creative.

About

Funded with a grant from the Early Childhood Investment Corporation of the State of Michigan and the Kellogg Foundation, our project began in April of 2006. The goal of the project is to form multiple collaborative bodies in the state to begin development of a comprehensive system of early childhood care and education for 0-5 year olds and their families. This system is similar to the Smart Start system of North Carolina and the state of Michigan is receiving technical assistance in our efforts from the state of North Carolina.
